As an educator, I have taught across a range of postsecondary settings, from a large research university to conservatory training programs and my current position as a Lecturer at San José State University. My teaching draws on a broad range of acting methodologies and traditions, inviting students to connect their artistic practice to the communities and world they inhabit. By placing established acting methodologies in historical and cultural context, I encourage students to develop their craft while questioning inherited assumptions and imagining new possibilities for performance. Ultimately, I strive to create collaborative, curious classrooms where students become not only skilled performers, but engaged, thoughtful human beings.
