I'm pursuing Master of Fine Arts in Performance Pedagogy from the University of Pittsburgh Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. My research focuses on the pedagogy of applied performance, specifically looking the intersection of acting and civic engagement. My goal with this line of scholarship is to consider how students can develop sustainable, impactful and fulfilling careers as performing artists. Here is my academic C/V.
In July 2025, I will moderate a roundtable panel at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) Summer conference titled, "Pedagogy of the Medical Performer: Training Acting Students for Employment in Healthcare."
In January 2025, I presented a workshop called "Believe in the Ball" at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Where Viola Spolin’s exercises are often offered as individual, bite-sized games, this workshop blended one exercise into the next, aiming to engage students through an uninterrupted suspension of disbelief throughout the session.
