I’m pursuing an MFA in Performance Pedagogy at the University of Pittsburgh’s Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. My research focuses on applied performance, with particular attention to the intersections of acting practice and civic engagement. I’m interested in how training models can help students build sustainable, impactful, and fulfilling careers as performing artists. Here is my academic CV.
In July 2025, I chaired a roundtable at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) conference titled Pedagogy of the Medical Performer: Training Acting Students for Employment in Healthcare. The discussion brought together scholars from multiple institutions to examine methods and best practices for preparing students to work in simulation-based training within clinical environments.
In January 2025, I led a workshop titled Believe in the Ball at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Drawing on Viola Spolin’s improvisational techniques, the session connected exercises in a continuous flow rather than as standalone games, inviting students to sustain an active sense of play and belief throughout the full workshop.
